Neurosurgeon, Spine Surgeon & Researcher
Published & Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles
Dr Oehme is dedicated to both clinical and basic science research and was awarded his PhD in 2014. His research interests are in degenerative diseases of the spine and the use of stem cell and other novel biotechnologies to repair degenerate intervertebral discs. He is considered an expert in the field and applies his scientific understanding of spine and disc degeneration to all of his patients.
Dr Oehme has won the prestigious Peter Leech research prize on two occasions, and has also been awarded numerous other scholarships and awards based on of his contribution to research. Presenting his research all over the world including the USA, Europe, Asia and New Zealand, Dr Oehme has also published widely in peer reviewed journals, including the Journal of Neurosurgery.
