Mr David Oehme

Mr David Oehme is a highly qualified Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon based in Melbourne. He is extensively trained in the management and treatment of complex spine conditions, with a strong focus on minimally invasive neurosurgery, robotic spinal surgery, spinal endoscopy and keyhole techniques. Dr Oehme specialises in the treatment of back pain, sciatica, disc herniation, spinal fusion, cervical spine (neck) conditions and brain tumours.

Dr Oehme's specialised neurosurgery and spine surgery practice utilises new generation minimally invasive & robotic technology, minimising tissue destruction and pain, and maximising neurological function. Achieving the very best surgical outcomes, with a strong focus on complication avoidance, is the priority of his busy Melbourne Neurosurgery practice. Dr Oehme performs cervical and lumbar disc replacement surgery.  

Dr Oehme now offers endoscopic spinal surgery including uniportal and biportal surgery.  He has trained in New York, South Korea and Taiwan and is one of the first spinal surgeons in Melbourne to offer endoscopic spinal surgery.

Dr Oehme is the director of spinal robotic surgery at St Vincent's Private and utilises the only Globus Excelsius GPS robot available in Melbourne.

Mr Andrew Gogos is a highly qualified Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon based in Melbourne.  He is an expert in brain tumour and cranial surgery, having completed a prestigious brain tumour fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Mr Gogos is passionate about providing individualised care utilising the latest technologies and minimally invasive techniques to improve outcomes for his patients.
 
He has a special interest in treating patients with brain tumours (including glioma, pituitary tumours, schwannoma, meningioma and metastases), trigeminal neuralgia and Chiari malformation. 

​In addition, Mr Gogos is experienced in the latest minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of spine conditions, including sciatica & disc herniation, spondylolisthesis and spinal tumours.
